Your city is in ruins. Destroyed cars litter the decimated streets and lie dormant beside the crumbling buildings that struggle to rise above the twisted train tracks. Dust swirls and cloaks, choking anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in its suffocating gusts. And the people are in even worse shape than the tattered city they still call home. Society has disintegrated as quickly as the structures that used to cage in its residents. Some people travel in wolfish packs, scrounging on the weak to feed their insatiable desires. Others huddle with their loved ones, thankful just to survive another day. How will you react in this bleak world? I Am Alive effectively conveys the broken state of society when devastation hits and no police force exists to keep order. There is no good or bad…

Tales from the Borderlands- Episode Five — The Vault of the Traveler Review
Tales from the Borderlands’ writing is smart, thoughtful, and laugh-out-loud hilarious in places, but it’s also highly effective–through both gameplay and story–at making you, the player, genuinely care about a bunch of jerks. It’s reminiscent of developer Telltale Games’ inaugural season of The Walking Dead, which emotionally loaded you up only to take it all away suddenly, sadly, and horribly. But Tales from the Borderlands doesn’t end on the same somber notes. Rather, its conclusion offers a deep retrospective on what it means to be a hero and the dangers of power, along with hopeful notes about life, love, friendship, and having cool stuff. This final episode, The Vault of the Traveler, ticks all the right boxes for an episodic game’s conclusion: powerful personal moment…
Outriders Seems To Be Off To A Great Start
Despite its potentially inauspicious launch date of April 1, Outriders seems to be off to a strong start after releasing on PC, Stadia, and consoles. The loot-shooter-cum-RPG hit Steam’s top 10 most-played games on the day of its release, with an early peak of 111,953 concurrent players on the platform.
At the time of writing, Outriders is the ninth most played game for the day on Steam, sitting below Team Fortress 2 and above Rainbow Six Siege Come from Sports betting site VPbet . While the Steam numbers are impressive, they’re only a small segment of the number of players checking out Outriders right now. The game also released on the Epic Games Store on PC, as well as Stadia, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X|…

Splitting American Horror Story Season 10 In Two Was The Best Move The Series Could Have Made
This year’s installment of American Horror Story divides the season in half in order to tell two separate stories–hence the “Double Feature” subtitle. Now in Season 10, splitting American Horror Story into two parts seemed a bit bizarre, but as we come towards the close of part one, it’s the smartest decision the show could have made.
Most seasons of American Horror Story hit a bump in the road halfway through as characters get lost or new ideas/concepts are introduced late in the game. In Season 6–Roanoke–American Horror Story flipped the script by having the people who were dramatically reenacting the events on the TV show within a TV show, My Roanoke Nightmare, spend three days in the actual Roanoke haunted house. The final two episodes of th…

Spider-Man- Across The Spider-Verse Is The Franchise's Empire Strikes Back, Writer Says
There might not be a sequel more revered than Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. So with that in mind, it’s possibly unsurprising that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse writer and producer Chris Miller is slinging that comparison out into our universe.
Speaking with Empire Magazine, Miller explained how Across the Spider-Verse is similar to Empire. “People who’ve seen Across… have told us that it feels like The Empire Strikes Back of the Spider-Verse franchise,” Miller said. “It shows you worlds you haven’t seen, and it’s an emotional story that ends in a place where you need to see the third one. So, yeah: This is our Empire.”
Across the Spider-Verse will be followed by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse on March 29, 2024. Originally, the…
